Steve Dalachinsky made his art in the course of being out in the world: concerts, screenings, the sidewalk on Spring Street, a notebook, then home to the typewriter and the collages. In the summer of 2020, Yuko Otomo and I followed those daily routes through the people and places that made his New York.
The Steve Circuit
We asked artists who knew Steve to work with his words, recordings and images, and with the places they shared. Each episode became another meeting around his work. ISSUE Project Room and LMCC co-commissioned the series; the films can be watched in the ISSUE archive.
